Windows Live Messenger send button grayed out

Send button grayed out since the program installed. We're using 4.7. Help!!!!

I am having the same problem I installed the latest Live Messenger and now I
do not have send button Please help me

Hi,

2009 does not have have a send button sadly, you have to use the Enter key to send messages.

If you really need the send button back, there are a few Messenger Plus skins which add it,
if its non-existence really is troublesome.
