Windows Live Messenger startup

Windows Live Messenger sign-up started popping up ASA I log in.

How could I stop it?

I assume you mean with Windows startup? When it pops up, just hit the Alt key on the
keyboard to bring up the menu bar, choose Tools, then Options, Sign In category and uncheck
'Automatically run Windows Live Messenger when I log on to Windows' then click OK.
