Windows Live Messenger Update

Just to try to balance the posts, I updated to the latest version
(8.5.1288.816) very recently - got no install problems & the thing so far has
run perfectly. And no, I don't have any connection to Microsoft!

Mike, thank for sharing your experience. I could not find the update in
Microsoft.com/downloads. Where should I go to get it? Thanks. LuC

I think it was from here -

http://get.live.com/WL/config_all

And I configured the download for just Messenger, not the rest of the items.
