Chris
I came across an issue with Windows Live Messenger whereby it continually
attempted to log in. This is a known (from the Live Messenger forums)
problem with the beta. The procedure below solved my problem with messenger.
1. Click on Start and Run and type in REGEDIT and hit Enter.
2. In the registry editor, click on “HKEY_CURRENT_USER”, followed by
“Software”, followed by “Microsoft”, followed by “MSNMessenger”, and followed
by “Policies”.
3. Delete the “Policies” folder.
4. Restart your machine.
5. Sign into Messenger again.
Hope this helps.
