Windows Live - No Voice at one end

I have a Toshiba A200 lap top and have trouble with windows live V8.1 When
using video link I can hear and see my contact but they can only see me but
no voice. I have checked settings using "tools" and everything appears to be
in order. I have no idea what to do about this problem. Thanks

What happens if you just start an audio session (no video)?
