Hi John,

OneCare is a great product as I'm sure you're aware and there doesn't
seem to be a feedback mechanisim available for it yet except via connect.

Do you know of any plans to change this situation?

The feedback mechanism for OneCare is at the forum at the above link. Here's the
official "feedback" page.
If you are using v1.5 Beta, the appropriate feedback mechanism is on Connect.
The forum contains an announcement post on how the public can file bugs on
Connect for 1.5.

Hi Stephen,

Thank you for your response however I can't really say what I think
about the program there so I will tell you instead.

I think it's fabulous that Windows Live OneCare Beta has taken over the
job of updating my computer, however I'd really like to see a console
attached to the program where I can see what other updates I might need
as it only takes me to a website using my normal browser and the Windows
Update site doesn't support it unfortunately.

Is there anything in the works to change this situation.

Thank you again,

Garth

You can most certainly post this topic in the forum in the tune-up topic folder.
I'm not sure what you are asking, as OneCare only monitors for "critical"
updates reported as being needed by Windows Update.
This is absolutely off-topic for this newsgroup, though.

Hi Steve,

I know this is off topic but there's no where else I can go.

Windows Live doesn't have genuine support and the connect website
doesn't give responses.

As for the forums, I'm at loathe to use them as I'd much rather use a
news client, as I suppose you can gather.

Regards,

Garth

I prefer nntp to web forums any day of the week, but I've gotten used to the
forum. If you want to post feedback, you dont need to revisit the forum to
participate in any discussion if you don't want to.
If you want to be heard by the OneCare team, post to the forum.
If you have a support issue with OneCare, Support for 1.5 can be reached here
without validation (after clicking on open an email support case, select "other
computer" if you are presented with a request for a product ID):*

Hi Steve,

Without asking to take this to email, I will try that link you've given
me, as I've only ever emailed sales in my country, however I'd just like
to say that I really feel Microsoft should invest more resources into
newsgroups as web forums are subject to all the issues with browsers as
I'm sure you're aware.

Also, while I'm on the subject, I just want to say to you that I really
like live.com as it's very reliable since it's written in XHTML and it
works well in my browser, which is a non-microsoft one and I like the
experience very much, however I'd so like it more if Mr Gates would put
all of his websites into the aforementioned format and allow even more
work to be performed on the live platform so as to provide better
support for his new and brilliant products.

Thank you again for your time,

Garth
