Windows Live shuts down (No warning)

Recently and I mean within the last 2 days I noticed that when I start my
Windows Live and I click on one of my 3 email accounts it closes... not
warning just brings me back to the Desktop. Happens more often when I select
1 certain hotmail account (I have 2 added to Windows Live). It takes about
3-4 tries of restarting Live to get it to work. Of course if I deleted any
emails from my other 2 accounts they reappear as if I didn't remove anything.
Its very strange.

So I tried to see if there was an update, but since I don't have IE as my
default browser MS was giving me crap about how I have to use IE. So I reset
IE as my default browser and when I start the "Check for updates" IT gives me
a parameter error. However if I type to entire link into the browser its fine.

I am about ready to give up in Windows Live... Outlook express, never gave
me any problems... windows live has been a wreck since it's release for me.

Any ideas what could be causing these issues? My guess the solution might
fix both problems.

FYI - I recently reformatted this machine and reinstalled Live not more than
2 maybe 3 months ago.

Thanks,

No updates are available. The last release RTM was Feb 2009 and primarily to add Windows Live Movie Maker to the Live Essentials
suite of products.

If and when Windows Update is turned on for Windows Live applications..IE, like it is for Windows, would be necessary.

Are you using the a Live ID(one of your two 'certain' Hotmail accounts) to signon to Windows Live in WLM ?

I have the same problem with WLM, The Live mail shuts down randomly when I tried to browse some new email. It started since 3/12/10. My account is Hotmail. My computer is Windows XP SP3, 2GB ROM, 60GB hard drive, 2GB open space on C drive.

Only 2GB free space? That's not even enough to save the Windows
hibernation file for your 2GB RAM (not 'ROM'). I imagine that when
you click on something in Windows Live Mail it needs to open some
temporary files, which fails due to lack of disk space.
