Windows live

I have 2 different issues.

1) Since a ran an update several months ago, Live messenger will not
remember me for sign in no matter what I do. Any thoughts?

2) On my other computer, since I ran the same update, I cannot change my
font preference in my Windows Live Mail. I have to adjust the font on each
email I send individually.

Both issues occured after the same update automatically installed on the 2
DIFFERENT computers.
