Windows Live with Yahoo problems

I was running Windows Live Messenger just fine with Yahoo on my XP machine
but when moved to Vista am having problems.

Latest versions of software on each side.

I sometimes get Yahoo msgs but they never get mine.

We have both deleted and added our user ids but I always show the Yahoo user
offline.

I was able to communicate with another Yahoo user OK testing but cannot with
the first like I used to be able to.

Ideas?

Thanks,
Dave

Greetings Dave,

The Yahoo connectivity has been really lousy recently (although it has never been perfect).
Best bet is to just install the real Yahoo Messenger client until it's sorted out and use
that.

Or instead of download messenger, just use the web messenger. Yahoo has a
new web messenger or you can just go to yahoo mail account and IM from
there. Hotmail is the only one in the big three (google, yahoo, and msn)
that doesn't have a messenger built into there mail. I must say though I am
a hotmail user and I'm looking forward to the next update.

I have the same problem with my XP system recently. Sometimes, even I could
not see them online.
