Windows mail and Imternet explorer

Hello everyone..I think I may have an interessting problem here.. When a
customer goes to a web site that has an email link to it and clicks on it it
opens 44 windows with that email adress in the adress bar..Also sometimes it
gives the following error. Could not perform this operation because the
default mail cleint is not installed properly.... I made sure windows mail
does work and I did set it too default in control panel.. Im stumped..It
happens on 2 diff Customers PC so far.. Plz help..ty

Well, first, are they using Vista? Are you SURE? Do they have their mail
settings set correctly. If they have a Yahoo account or something, it's not
going to pick that up. Also, check configuration on their computers,
"mailto:" should try to open with a mail client, not an internet browser.
Virus check / Malware / AdWare check may also turn up some results.

The reason for this is that your email client is not set properly as default.

Check your settings for default. Where did you set default and how.
