Windows Mail--I can send but not receive emails

I am setting up a secondary account. I use Outlook on my computer but am
setting up an email account for my son on Windows Mail. The settings are
exactly the same as mine except for the username and password. He can get
emails but not send them. I know the settings are right since they are the
same as mine so what else could be the problem. The error says the server
timing out, disconnecting etc.
Thanks for any thoughts.

Comcast is trying to make users switch to a different port number, but has
been rather poor at telling their users about this. See if this helps:

Windows Mail

Click the link titled "How to configure Windows Mail for Vista to use port
587 for sending email"
