Windows Mail Error. Again....

Another LOVELY Windows Mail Problem.
I have gone through most of the other sent in problems and have found nothing.

When opening windows mail on my vista computer it says"
Account: 'pop.att.yahoo.com', Server: 'pop.att.yahoo.com', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR popgate unknown command', Port: 995, Secure(SSL): Yes, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC18

Anything or any suggestions?
I have turned off and disabled antivirus scanning, and changed every setting possible.
Help!

Yeah, well you can look at a few messages in the past couple of days. It is
likely not a Windows Mail Problem. The previous messages will explain. Since
you are a Software Developer, I assume you are able to read previous
messages, and even search for relevant messages.

In just a couple of minutes of searching on Bing I found at least 3 previous
mentions of this exact error on att.yahoo - all recommending to turn OFF
"Secure Password Authentication" . . . . .
