Could someone please identify the Microsoft offical newsgroups for the
following programs:

1. Windows Mail (it's something like xxx.xxx.xxx.vista.mail)
2. Microsoft Office Word 2007
3. Microsoft Office Excel 2007
4. Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007

Also, why do Windows Mail users have to sign into Microsoft Communites in
order to use Microsoft newsgroups? When I had XP and Outlook, you didn't
have to do that.

John

microsoft.public.office.misc.

You don't have to now. Just set Windows Mail to do those groups (it's
already set for the Vista groups).

I already tried and it didn't work. I could post a message but I couldn't
respond to a topic I had started. I'll see what I can figure out.

The use of the "Communities" feature is optional, but on by default.

In Windows Mail, click Tools, Options, on the General tab, remove the check
mark from "Use newsgroup message rating features".

It is perfectly useless to know the right answer to the wrong question.
