Windows Mail is not included in Windows 7
Outlook is included in all version of Office 2007 except Home and Student
Office 2007 Home and Student does not provide an email client
To send/receive mail....install an email client(Windows Live Mail or other third party application) on Windows 7. Your only other alternative is to use/obtain an email account from your isp or other provider(Hotmail, Yahoo, Google) and use the web interface to send/receive mail
The ability to use the Send Mail option from programs included in Office 2007(Word, Excel, Power Point, One Note) when Outlook is not available requires an email client installed on your machine. The Send Mail option is only functional when an installed email client is configured to be the default email client, thus you will need to download Windows Live Mail 2011 Build 15x beta(or later released beta/final versions) or a non Microsoft 3rd party email application
- Note: If choosing Windows Live Mail at this time, ensure you download the beta and not the 2009 version for best 'send mail from Office' functionality

I have office 2007. Recently upgraded to Windows 7. Have Windows mail, not
Outlook. Cannot email from office 2007. The email prompt is faded out and
cannot be accessed. How to activate it?
