Windows Mail Stationery Stopped Working, Also Font colors and background colors...

Have had Vista Windows Mail running for a couple of days. Composed a
message two days ago, using one of the stationery choices, and it worked
fine. When composing today, none of the default stationery choices will
appear. Tools/Options/Compose/Stationery does show a stationery choice in
the box, however, none appears in the message. If I go to
Stationery/Select, none of the choices will show in the Preview window (with
the Show Preview box checked). In the Compose window, Format/Apply
Stationery choices have no result. Also, Format/Background/Color choices
have no result. Not sure what I may have done to cancel out the stationery
choices. Curiouser and curiouser: no color fonts will work in Windows Mail
Compose either. I have googled for this, but no joy yet. Any thoughts?

make sure under SEND tab you have selected HTML.
and also under there the INCLUDE pictures option.

Ok, I do have HTML checked, and also have checked the box for "Send pctures
with messages". There is not (strictly speaking) a box for "INCLUDE"
pictures in the SEND tab. It's also strange that I am not able to choose a
color for the fonts. I can do the other text characteristics like bold and
italic, but no colors other than black.

Ok, my font color/stationery/background color problem is now resolved.
Evidently:

-When one makes certain kinds of changes to things like 'Accessibility'
settings, the computer has to be restarted to make the changes effective.
-I had been playing with various Accessibility settings in IE7.
-I am thinking that changing those settings affected the compose fonts and
color settings in Windows Mail.
-When I changed those Accessibility settings back to normal, the compose
fonts did not return to normal; it required a subsequent restart to make the
changes (to return to normal) effective. I found hints about this at
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=178895. I had not found an answer as to
Windows Mail, and got to wondering whether a similar problem might have come
up with Outlook Express and thus found the reference that suggested
restarting. Well, I will be a little more careful in future.
