Windows ME IE 6.0 update fails

I tried to download 6.0 version. The download window starts up and then
downloads components upto 72% and then remains in that state at 72%...Tried
it over and over...same results..Does anyone know why? Is there some ME
component that is missing?

Perhaps something here on these links may assist you. One other option is to manually
download and install the update from the catalog (link below).

I am trying to upgrade Windows ME system from IE 5.5 to IE 6.0. When I download the
file and go to setup for IE6setup, I get an error message stating "Setup was unable
to install all components. Shut down those and reinstall."

You can download them from the Catalog and save to be installed later.

Click Add button for each update you want to download. Once you have what you want,
Click the “Go To Download Basket� link. Type in or browse to the location where you
want the updates saved to and then Click the “Download Now� button.
Once downloaded, you can then burn them to CD.
