Windows ME update problem

Hi,

I'm running Windows ME and I'm unable to get critical updates to download.
I can scan for updates, then get the list of ones to install, and then when
I click on the Install button, the download indicator goes immediately to
100% then waits a few seconds before telling me the update failed. The log
file indicate error 0x80004005, unspecified error, and I can't find anything
on the MS knowledgebase to help me with this error. I've tried deleting
cookies and files, cleaned out the TEMP directory, and no luck. Any
suggestions are greatly appreciated.
