Windows Me Updates cause errors opening ISP

After dowloading updates (listed below), one of 2 error messages appears when
I try to log onto att.net, my ISP. The error messages are KERNEL32.DLL and
MSVCRT.DLL. The only way to close the message is to re-boot the computer.
The updates to Windows Me that I recently downloaded are

KB890923, Cumulative security update for IE6
814078, Security update (MS Jscript version 5.6 Wimdows 98, ME
KB840315, Security update for Windows Me
KB870669, Critical update for ADODB.stream
KB890175, Security update for Windows Me
KB888113, Security update for Windows Me
What can be done to get rid of the 2 error messages?
