From Windows ME to Windows XP

I have a laptop with Windows ME on it. Does anyone know if I can upgrade my
laptop from the Me software to the Windows XP software; or do I have to just
buy a whole new laptop with XP already on it? Thanks

Perhaps after you answer a few questions:

Processor Speed
System Disk Size
Memory


And furthermore, have you verified that you can get XP drivers for such
things as video card, sound card, etc.?

Quite a few people have upgraded from Win98SE to XP Home.
