That's because this more likely has to do with the settings on your video
card driver than anything with Media Player itself.
Look into the overlay video settings in the advanced area of your video card
drivers.

I have a similar problem. Two - three days ago I updated to windows media
11. Since then I only get streaming audio from every source I've tried.
What happened to the Video stream, it is a blank green screen. I have
checked with the server and the help desk there says it is the player and to
get rid of me said I should download another player. I don't think that is
the answer, do you have an answer Shenan Stanley ?

I am having the same problem. I downloaded wmv 11 on Wednesday and for 2
days I had no trouble watching videos. Starting yesterday all I have now is
a green screen. I can hear audio sometimes and other times there is nothing
but the green screen. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but to no
avail. I don't see how it can be the video card settings when for 2 days I
had no trouble with it and I haven't changed any settings.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Thank you all for the news. I was beginning to think I had a computer virus
or worse. I think Microsoft Windows Media Player is defective and now I feel
as if I am being held hostage from the freedom I had enjoyed for years. I
might try to uninstall WMV 11 but I don't know how. Please help with the
proceedure. Thanks again.

Control Panel --> Add or Remove Programs --> Find it in the list and remove
it.
