I was misled by the Microsoft's book, 'Step by Step - Windonws Vista,'
stating that Vista Business version includes all the features of Vista Home
Premium plus the following feadutes - - -, page XV, and bought the Business
version. But the Media Center was not included in this version!! Does
anyone know how to install the Media Center to this version?

Your advice will be appreicated.

P.S. I'm not planning to sue Microsoft Press!

Question where did you mis-read that Vista Business would include Media
Center? If you take a look at todays Windows XP product matrix, is Media
Center included in the Professional version of XP? No? Even when you go to
the store and take a look at the product boxes, it tells you whats clearly
included, I think this is a clear failure on your part. Just the name Vista
Business would clearly indicate Media Center is not a feature of that SKU.

You need the Ultimate Version to get Media Centre with Domain capabilities.
This has been the way forever. Even Media Centre for XP didn't include the
ability to join a Domain. I am glad that they came out with Ultimate.

Cheers,
Lara

Hi,

You can't add Media Center to the Business version. You have two basic
choices if you want this feature. 1) Return the Business edition for a
refund and purchase Home Premium. 2) Go to Anytime Upgrade and purchase
Ultimate to install over Business.

Anytime Upgrade:

I don't know the book, but if it says that, as you've found out, it's wrong.

Short of upgrading to Vista Ultimate, you can't.
