I keep getting the COOD 1199 error message "WMP cannot play the file. Player
might not support the file type or codec used to compress... I have
downloaded the latest version of WMP 11 and tried changing audio outputs to
no avail. Any suggestions?

What's the file type of this file (MP3, WMA...)? Does installing
FFDShow from http://www.free-codecs.com/download/FFDshow.htm help?

Regards

Tried several things including your suggestion. In dealing with another
problem on another computer I cleared cache, cookies, and history and that
fixed the problem. Thanks again for your time.
