I just recently upgraded to Windows 7. LOVE IT. I had not let WMP "discover"
all my music on an external disk. I have about 300G of music. I set up the
library to go discover and away it went. That was 3+ days ago. It is still
running. It looks to me like all the music was discovered, now WMP is
updating all track info and album art?

How long can I expect this to run? Is this normal? Is there something I can
check to see its progress.

I do not want to stop of close the player, as it looks like it is doing its
job, just taking longer than I expected.

Thanks in advance.

One other thing.....

The icon and message I am getting in the lower right hand corner that leads
me to believe it is still working and why I don't want to close it is....

<"download" arrows in motion> "Retrieving media info for: <album name>"

The download arrows are always in motion (not hung) and the message is
constantly updating the album name......

You can close WMP or even shut down the PC safely. WMP will continue
updating media info when it is started again.

Regards
