Windows media player and mini-DVD movies

I have a Sony DVD camcorder and have a number of movies on the mini-DVDs. In
XP I was able to play them fine with the Windows Media Player. When I try to
play them in Vista I get a message that Windows Media Player can't play the
video DVD and I might need to adjust my Windows display settings. I've tried
several settings, even down to 800x600, 16-bit color but it still won't play
them. Any ideas what I can do to be able to play these? Thanks!
