Windows media player library is corrupt

Almost every time i start media player, it tells me my library is corrupt. It
asks me to apply a fix, but it doesn't work either. it's only been happening
recently, but Other than this message popping up, my music plays fine as far
as i can tell. It's more of an annoyance. What can I do to fix this?
