This looks extremely like you installed SatelliteTVforPC to the system at
some point. Did you? The 2006 version of that does horrible things to the
point where *their* advice to you is to reinstall Vista.
I was attempting to get a better solution, but they wouldn't give me the
password to the 2006 version that I had, just upgrade me to the 2007
version. =P
