Hello Neil, and thanks a lot.
Well, I made the video on a JVC Everio-hardisk camera - and just imported it
into my pc.. When I opened the files Windows Media Player just started to
play the many clips..

I've been creating Windows Media files with "Flip-4-Mac" plug-in (Final Cut
Pro) for several years, standard definition, outputting at 320x240 or
480x360. I used to in Windows Media Player 9 and Win 98SE, and the aspect
ratio in playback was correct. Now I have Windows XP and Windows Media Player
11, and the picture looks *just a bit* "pinched". Not much, just a little,
including video I'd edited some time back. I don't see any controls in
Windows Media Player to adjust playback window ratios, and I'm using standard
window sizes.
