Trying to upgrade, update, repair, reinstall Media Player in Vista is
useless. No matter how much time you spend, and where you look, the only
reply you get is: "Your computer is running, the most recent version of
Windows Media PLayer and all of its components." There is no way I have
found to uninstall this. Media Player does not even show up in my
ADD/Remove... under the windows fatures tab.
I have started using XP, that has no with Media Player, which appears to be
a different media player even though they are both Media Player 11. Maybe
this URGE p[rogram within the component, (which I did not install) has
something to do with it.
