I am attempting to install Windows Messenger 5.1 but getting the subject
message because of interruption or something. What would be a remedy?

Hi Shawn,

Thanks for your response. I understand that Windows Messenger and
Windows Live Messenger are two different softwares and many
functionality features overlap with each other, but to conduct Remote
Assistance session, Windows Messenger must be running even when Remote
Assistance is initiated from Windows Live Messenger. Am I correct?

Hi churin,

You shouldn't. Windows Live Messenger has a "Remote Assistance" that
should be compatible with the older versions. It would be better, of
course, if the other person had Windows Live Messenger too. It's a bit
buried in the menu option though for Live. It's under *Action*.

To be honest with you, I have never tried it. However, from some of
the other post I've read people are not having problems with it. Of
course, this could vary from system to system.

Hope this helps some,
Shawn
