Windows Messenger Live 8.1

After installing & re-installing 8.1, we keep getting error message "error
message missing wnpapi32.dll." Anybody know how to correc this. Never had
this until "forced installation of this program.

This library belongs to either Pinnacle or Adaptec. Perhaps you have installed a Pinnacle
video device in the past and Messenger is trying to probe it causing you to see this message.
In which case a re-install of the drivers would probably solve the problem.

Thank you for your response, but neither Pinnacle nor Adaptec device installed.
