- Windows Messenger Live won't fetch my contact list...

I installed Live Messenger at home and it works. I even recommended to all
my contacts that they get with the program.

I finally decided to upgrade at work, but the transition didn't go so
smoothly there. The program installs and runs fine, and I can even log in
sans difficulty... but once inside, it tells me I have zero contacts, and I
should start adding some.

I tried repair, re-installing, the works... same problem over and over
again.

I have to log in via Windows Messenger (ie, Messenger Lite) and my contact
list is there and working fine.

What can I do to fix the problem on Live?

I've been hearing a couple reports of this nature - can you email
with your description of the problem? The more
information you can give about your environment, the better.

Thanks!

I had similar issues during the beta run. From time to time, I'll have the
same issue. Have you ever been able to use WLM normally, with access to your
full contact list?

Not on this computer (work). As the original email explained, I only tried
installed WLM today at work for the first time, after weeks of using it
flawlessly at home. The installation was done the same way, too.

No matter how many times I re-install it or run it, WLM at work does not
give me my contact list... while Windows Messenger does.

I have similar problem in WL8

In webmessenger and MSN 7.5 I can sign in normally, but when I log in using
WL8, the program sign in my mail but shows "a connection problem", and thats
that my changes can't be replied in another computer or system
