Windows Messenger signs out in sleep mode

I'm running Windows Vista Home Pre. and when my computer goes into sleep
mode Windows Messenger signs out. It doesn't matter if I'm set to appear
offline, online or away it still signs me out. It doesn't matter what
firewall I use either. I've used 3 or 4. Right now I'm using Comodo
Firewall Pro. Thanks for the help.

But thats normal behaviour when you put your computer to sleep. When your
computer is sleeping it means you are not connected to the Internet, which
means Messenger would automatically have you logged out.

I just didn't remember my Windows XP computer doing that. I could go off and
do something for an hour or so and come back and messenger would still be
logged in ready for me.

Well, your PC was probably in Standby, not sleep.
