Good Morning,

I have a pocket pc running pocket pc 2003 premium.

When i connect it to windows vista to have it syncronised, i am recieving a
big red X in windows mobile device centre.

If it is not connected under mobile device settings in windows mobile device
centre i am only seeing an option for connection settings.

It was previously partnered with this vista client and i am unsure what went
wrong but i cannot syncronise nor can i get the option to set up a new
partnership.

I would like to either get it to syncronise or set up a new partnership.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Regards,
Paul.

Have you tried:

- Resetting the device?
- Attaching the device to another PC?

Tried Resetting it, didn't work.
It works on another pc...however i need it to work on this Vista Machine.
Idea i had was to go into the registry and probably delete the keys which
relate to the pocket pc partnership. i have thus far been unable to find them.
Any more ideas?

Rather than muck about in the Registry, remove all partnerships from both
the PC and the mobile device (you'll need to do this with the device
disconnected), then restart both devices. Try to associate them again.
