Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit / 4GB RAM / NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GS / Movie
Maker 6.0 (Build 6000)

PROJECT
I'm editing a 1 GB WMV file. MM will play the complete one hour long movie,
however, if I attempt to move somewhere on the time line to prepare to "clip
beginning", for instance, everything comes to a halt. The controls will move
around but the movie is stuck. MM is not crashing per se, it's stalling and
not coming back.

I downloaded 'Video Edit Magic Express' trial, and tested it against the
same file and it works? I want MM to work however because I will be using it
in a class setting where everyone will have it on their computer. Any
ideas - Thanks for your help - IM

I can't help butit seems we have the same problem. I was editing around
5 hours worth of a home movie but it began to play up. For instace it
started to get choppy during playback and now when I open the project
file it wont play at all. You cant do anything to it. You can push play
all you like but it just sits there frozen in time, and yet I can start
a new project and it will work (as far as I can tell as I havnt really
tested that theory much) So if anyone can suggest a solution that would
be great.
