Windows Movie Maker problem

Hi,
I would like to know why I am having problems when I am importing from my
digital camera my computer shuts down...so I have to unistall my webcam which
is creative VF0350...then i have no problem importing. I would like to know
why this happens. Using windows Vista.

I suppose that you are plugging in your camera to a USB port. If
possible, it's better to read the memory card via a card reader.
If you must use the USB port, make sure that the camera battery is fully
charged. Next, it's probable that the webcam driver and the digital
camera driver have some sort of conflict. (I don't think much of CLab
software in general. Too many past problems, lack of updates, etc.)
You might also try installing the camera and the web cam on USB ports
that use different USB controllers. This can solve such things as power
draw problems, and even some driver conflicts.

rec.video
alt.video.dvdtech
rec.video.desktop

There are others.

There may be some people there who are be more directly familiar with your
problem. It's worth a try.
