Windows movie player - unable to play project after effects added

Hi all,

I'm having problems with Movie Maker. When I add effects to a captured
video, I cannot play the project, the preview window just showing a
black screen, no error boxes comes up. When I remove the effect,
everything is working properly.

The same problem occurs when I add transitions to the project, I can add
2 to 3 transition effects but when I add the 4th, the preview window
shows black and the project could not be played. No error boxes comes
up. When I remove a transition, everything works fine again.

Any solutions?
