Windows Not Recognising File Type

When I connect any remote device or drive via SD slot or USB I am now
getting the warning “ I:\ This file does not have a program associated
with it for performing this action. Create an association in the Set
Associations control panel.” This has only just recently started
happening. Before it would usually pickup on the device and do a n
automatic file transfer. The device would be identified by a specific
icon i.e. Archos 405 would show an Archos icon in My Computer. I have
been into Set Associations and changed options and changed again and
still am getting the warning.
Can anyone help please?
Guy.
