I keep getting a message that I need to download patchnow.net because of
recent download of windows XP. States that there is a possibility to get a
virus. I went to website and it costs $19.95 for patch- Is there any validity
to this?

You are bring scammed! The only legitimate Windows XP patches
are FREE and can be obtained by visiting the Microsoft Windows
Update web site. I would suggest installing Service Pack 2 immediately!
