-If its Vista Home Basic, Aero isn't included and therefore the taskbar
preview wont run.
-If its Vista Home Basic, Aero needs to be running in order to get the
previews.
As to why the check box is grayed out I cannot help. Regarding Aero I also
cannot help as I have not any experience with it, I am using Vista Home
Basic as it is what came with my top. As to why I haven't upgraded, I live
in one of those countries no one has ever heard of (South Africa) and it is
unavailable to us via internet upgrade, not unlike allot of things (cell
phone signal, a company that isn't out to do you for every cent, a straight
government, etc...) and to go out and get a copy of a new OS without it
being OEM is moronic, proven by this community.
