There is a checkbox for that in Control Panel/"Power Options"

Hi again,

Thank you for your quick response. I don't know which check box are you
talking about but what I did is that I went to control panel> power option
and in the left side clicked on "Require a password on wakeup" and then in
the "Define power bottons and turn on password protection" window clicked on
chenge settinges that are currently unavailable" and then chose the "Require
a password (recommanded)" radio button and then clicked on save changes, but
the problem is still remaining and it doesn't ask about username and password
the other thing that I want you to know is that I am using computer as
administrator should I change it as standard user?

Thanks again for your help,

If you have a password set, that should work. You may need to restart
windows to see it take effect.

Hello Farhad,
No need to change your account type. It has nothing to do with your
problem.
Perhaps you should double check the settings. Try this : -
1. Control Panel > Classic View > Power Options icon
2. left panel, click " change when the computer sleep"
3. mark down the settings you see under Battery and Plugged in
headings.
4. (same window) click Change advanced power settings
5. you have a new window, click Change settings that are currently
unavailable
6. now check ADDITIONAL SETTINGS and SLEEP (by clicking on the +
sign), make sure the settins are the same as you set on the other
window.
Let me know the result, I am curious.
