Windows Repair impact on Windows Updates

I had to run a Windows Repair due to a very serious virus. Can anyone tell
me if the Windows Updates get reinstalled automatically? It doesn't appear
that they do, because I can't access the Windows Firewall icon in Control
Panel. If they don't get installed automatically can I reinstall them
myself? (How?) or do I need to delete them (how) and re-download them?

What kind of repair?
A Repair Installation also known as an In Place Upgrade leaves the system
without any updates or Service Packs not on the Windows CD.
Going to Windows Update should install them.
There is no problem installing an update already installed.
