Windows Search 4.0 for Vista KB940157; Update fail

Hello!

When running the KB940157 update, installation fails with error code 80073712.
I am running Vista Home Premium.
I have looked at some prior Error 80073712 questions and there are some
discussions concerning a file called pending.xml, but I have searched the
suggested locations and not found it.

Would be glad for some help
