hi

i was wandering if someone could help me i had to do a destructive system
restore on my computer 5 days ago which sets the computer back to factory
settings so i lost everything. before i did that destructive system restore
i had anti virus and windows firewall and all my automatic updates turned on
as i had windows sp2 but since i had to do the destructive system restore i
put my anti virus back on downloaded all my updates and downloaded sp2 so i
had the windows security centre but since then the windows security centre
keeps disabling itself which means i cant see if my automatic updates are
switched on if my firewall is switched on and if my anti virus is switched on
it also wont let me connect to the security centre as it says windows
security centre has been stopped please restart your computer i did speak to
someone from microsoft who told me to click on run and type services.msc i
click on the help and support and the security centre icon and they both say
disables i switch them back on but then i get a message to say my firewall
isnt switched on i then have to switch that back on and everything is ok but
when i shut my computer down for the night or im not on it for a while even
though its not switched off the security centre disables itself and the help
and support and i have to keep going back in and switching it on i never had
this trouble before i had to do a destructive system restore i have had a
look at other peoples questions and answers on here and a one women is having
the same trouble as me so i tried typing in regsvr32 dispex.dll to see if
that wors it says successful but when i go into the security centre to see if
everything is switched on it isnt the security centre and the help and
support is still all disabled i dont know what else to do i hope someone can
help me as im worried that im going to get a virus or something as i cant see
wether my firewall, automatic updates and anti virus is switched on

Its quite conceivable that if you connected to the internet to install your
updates/sp you have allready been infected.
