I received error 0x80242008 on two of the most recent updates,
Update for Internet Explorer KB916281
Security Update Windows XP KB917344.
Does anyone know what these errors are. Searching help was no help.
Thanks

I had the same error. Turns out the update didn't like the fact that I
had changed the default location for "program files". I went back into
the registry, changed it back to crogram files, reran the update and
it worked just fine. Check your
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\ProgramFilesDir
value.

Me too.... please respond if you know of what might be the problem, upon
restarting, it did a check disk, and deleted a few index entries. What's
shakin'?????
