Windows Server 2003 Display Properties

After installing windows updates to a windows Server 2003 Standard edition,
the display displays very strange. e.g. the collors are messed up, and can't
be restored to an existing appearance like "windows classic" or the content
of events are displayed in a fontsize of 1. The server is a HP DL360 G3.
