Windows Server 2003 EE Duplicate Files

My Windows 2003 Server Enterprise Edition has 20GB of files in the
C:\Windows\Installer folder. While they have different names, there are for
instance 260 files that are 59,163KB, and 213 files that are 10,117KB. This
is just two examples. How can I tell if it is safe to delete them?

There must be a Windows Server discussion group within that archaic web
interface where you have posted.
You would, I feel, get a far better response there as opposed to posting in
the Windowsupdate group - unless you have a connection between both groups
that you have yet to mention.

The interface I'm using to access this page shows this group as a subgroup of
servers\management. Because I believe these files were created by windows
update, this seemed like the appropiate location.

BTW, I forgot to mention earlier, this folder is a protected operating
system folder. So unless you unflag "hide protected operating system files",
you won't see it.

There are Windows server newsgroups.

Try using a reall NNTP newsreader instead of the totally clunky web
interface.

Windows Update is for issues with the Windows Update service.
