Windows Server 2003 service pack 1 failed to install

Hello Everyone,
Have been trying to install SP1 on Win2k3. I've tried stopping all services
including sophos(AV) to no avail. Originally the problem was"access is
denied" on the registry as stated on KB873148. That was resolved, then
another problem came up and this time it was a diskspace issue. Got that
resolved but this time the error I'm getting in event viewer is:

Event ID 20: Source: Windows Update Agent
Installation failure:Windows failed to install the following update with
error 0x8007f070:Windows server 2003 service pack 1

If not already, use SP-1 on CD:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

A guess of mine is a memory problem:
http://oca.microsoft.com/en/windiag.asp
If you have multiple memory sticks, try removing one making sure to stay at
or above the Windows Server 2003 SP-1 minimums.

I did an HP insight diagnostic and found no memory or hardware issues.
