Sorry to repost but this was buried a couple pages back.

Just reposting it thanks.

Well I did the In-Place upgrade and still received errors during the upgrade
process. I did boot from the WIN2K3 CD. I get the following error message. I
have tried it twice.

An eror has been encoutnered that prevents setup from continuing.

Setup failed to install the product catalogs. This is a fatal error. The
setup log files should contain more information.

Press ok to view the setup log file.

Then it gives a error referring the the followinf file. "syssetup.dll"

I have no idea what to do next.

Any suggestions would be great. I am going to restore from tape again and
just let it crash for now until we can get a solution and try again.

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!

Thanks

I am sorry that you are hitting this issue. This does not seem like a
Windows Update problem any longer. Perhaps these other newsgroups would be
more helpful:

microsoft.public.windowsxp.general
microsoft.public.windowsxp.help_and_support

You can find a list of Microsoft public newsgroups here:
