I have created a school computer OU and entered the computers. I created a
school group OU and under that a school OU. When I tried to move the school
computer OU under the school OU, I get Windows cannot move object La Tijera
Computers because: Access is denied.

Why am I getting that message?

Hello techcoor,

Open the group properties and remove the checkmark on "Protect object from
accidental deletion" under the "Object" tab. This is a new feature in 2008.

I am sure that your answer is correct. I forgot that a move is a delete and
an add. I did remember about reading that the OU does have the prevent
accidental deletion setting. The error message is can not move not can not
delete. I will not be able to make the change until I get back to the server.
I did not set up the server for Internet remote access.

This is a late entry. However, just to close this issue I will post.

I did go to Active Directory Users and Computers and select View, Advanced
Features. Then right clicked on OU to be moved, selected Object, unchecked
Protect object from accidental deletion. Ok. Next, I right click OU to be
moved select move and a location. Finally I right click the OU, selected
Object, rechecked the Protect object from accidentnal deletion, and OK
