Windows Server 2008 License - no good with dedicated server host?

Hi All

I've been looking at dedicated server deals and found some quite reasonable,
without an OS installed.

Being with the MS WebSpark program I have the Windows Server 2008
licensed... which I thought could prove useful here until I ask the hosting
companies.

So far they've been telling me the servers can only have their own Windows
OS installed due to a licensing agreement with Microsoft. Have any others
encountered this?

Seems to be a useless offer to smaller businesses that are unlikely to host
their own connection yet can't make use of this on a hosted connection. Are
all ISP Hosts in the same boat, or just the ones I've been finding?

David
